I'll play. I am new to the oldest online shooter of ever and get noob sauce on everything I touch, but I will play. I have been tired of TF2 for quite some time and I don't think I'd mind getting dominated so much if it is within the CC community. I'll log onto the server tonight and see what's kicking

This. :)

Well so far it looks divided between those that are not voting, those that want to play, those that do not want to play, and those that only do ranked play. I feel that instead of having the pressure to keep CS:GO a division, pull it back down to a normal game in the community that people might play and if people start coming in more and more, then you could bring up the conversation of doing something more official in CC for CS:GO.

At the end of the day, you cannot force feed people, but if you cook the food a different way, make it smell a lot better, and serve it around dinner time, then people should come back and make a nice long line for that delicious meal that originally people had no desire in wanting.

Ha.... Elvis with the dinner illustration! I agree with the sentiment though, start a grass roots movement and see if it sticks. I don't think divisions should be started top down, they should be bottom up and should reflect the interest of the community. (re)Start it like we did with Insurgency, play it and see if it gains steam. If it does, then feed the movement.

I just don't want to invest lots of time on graphics, server admin, ect. if we don't have any momentum, just trying to be prudent with my time.

But, like I already said, if you guys decide to go forward full speed ahead I will try to help out where I can.

I think we're all on the same page, except that I don't want to "force" CS:GO so much as I think there is actually a lot of beneath-the-surface potential not properly realized. And this has been several months of casual conversations and reflections.

There is no division discussion at this point, though. Not until the involvement in the game merits that distinction. I also don't want any of you to spend tons of time on it if it does flop (social media, tech, etc). We'll get things rolling and see where it goes from there.

Hahah, quitter talk ^^

Maybe you're right. We'll see. Even if we only get a couple of game nights out of this, at least it will be verified dead by the community participation. CSS is certainly a dying game, but CS:GO still has very impressive global numbers on Steam.
