Running a PC, but most of the problems seem to be configuration problems. (By the way, I haven't reinstalled Windows in Y-E-A-R-S...if that tells you anything, this is Win7 Ultimate, had it since it came out of beta.)

Might be about time to jump on the Windows 10 bandwagon. Windows 7 support ship has sailed. haha

Finally got Photoshop running again...(Turns out I had a rootkit infection, hoping it's all gone, but we'll see over the next couple of days.)

Anyway...here's some playing around results...just took a few minutes playing with blending options to see if anything jumped out at me...Your favorite still the minimalist white?

I'm still playing with more, but again...anything you like, or is the white still the best? Maybe I shouldn't worry about the style of the effects, but instead add a different element or two? What's your take?

You've made this even more difficult. I like the white, but I like the silver and gold as well. The gold is great because of the colors and depth, and the silver just strikes my sci-fi nerd nerve, derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

As for the rootkit, I'm assuming you ran rootkit software? If not, try Kasperky's rootkit (free). It does a pretty good job weeding out the rest.

Yeah, I've been fighting malware, rootkits, botnet viruses and lots more for years. I'm currently in the middle of a deep system scan that has been going for almost 900 minutes. (Did I mention I have a bazillion terrabytes? heh)

Personally, I really like the silver metal. I know the gold is not bad (especially zoomed in closer), and it makes the font look more Ostrich Sans, but the silver just looks like it was carved out of the side of a starfighter of some kind. :)

For years? I think it's time to scrap it and start a new build. Not worth the hassle/security risks.

Agreed on the silver. I'm a scifi fanatic (Watched every episode of every Stargate ever).

Oh no, I meant I've understood how to fight and get rid of such things for years. (My fault for being unclear.)

I too have watched every episode of Stargate ever, every show they made, and both DVD movies. heh

If you've ever seen Stargater59's signature, I made that one. (And am rather proud of it.)
