Next Bible Study Theme!

Post by The Winged Scribe » July 23rd, 2016, 9:56 pm

So, our time in Genesis is quickly drawing to a close. Just four more chapters, and we'll be on to the next thing! Which begs the question...

Just what IS the next thing?

So, here's where you guys come in. We need your input to let us know what YOU want to do! We'll eventually get our next book, but in the meantime, here are some of our thoughts about what we can do in the interim:

    Possible ideas:
  1. Debate (like: views of the End Times, Calvinism vs. Arminianism, etc.)
  2. Topics (singleness & relationships, being a Christian among so many worldviews, etc.)
  3. Application (discussing opposing viewpoints like Islam or Atheism)

So, let us know what you guys would prefer out of those possibilities, and specific topic (like, "I'd like to have a debate about Calvinism because that can't cause any kind of consternation trolololol" [please don't do this]). We'll be reviewing this thread regularly, so please leave your comments, and we'll get a plan together for our next topic! Thanks, everyone!

You know we are just predestined to debate about Calvinism and Armenianism. :D

Maybe a study or overview of Proverbs?

It's such a weird book in places.

Just throwing that out there.

I also believe Song of Solmon and Revelations are both out of the question.

Ecclesiastes would be cool though.

For most of us, yeah xD

I have a hard time being able to come on TS on Thursday nights. But perhaps a shorter book (with a LOT of application), such as James :)

My church just finished a 7-month study on the book of James. I don't know that I'd be able to give it what I'd consider "proper analysis" if we went one chapter at a time like we normally have.

...Then again, that's just me. =)
