I'm not advocating it be a Bible study book just trying to dispell the lie that it's only for married people. :P

Yeah, nothing wrong with teaching "SoS" every so often. I know I'm not at bible studies much, but James is definitely a great book! (quite practical)

So, I was thinking about this and James (from my limited knowledge) sounds like a great idea.

However, I think it would be nice to break up these huge, months long, book long studies with some studies on individual topics such as how a Christian would deal with strong emotions and impulses like anger, or maybe a short study on topics such as the difference between reliance on god and faith in his providence and just waiting for something to happen.

Hmmm, well I would be interested to see how this group would handle SoS as you all are calling it. I have been to several small groups and Bible studies that dealt with this book in The Bible and have enjoyed every perspective given. I am just glad it is IN The Bible period, even if no one talks about it around here.
