Wood work I do

Post by Reconize » March 23rd, 2016, 6:56 am

Hi everyone.
As a member of ACE, I was able to discover my creative side. I have always been handy around the house and farm. Then I thought I would try some wood word for art rather than function like fixing a banister. So now in my spare time, which isn't much, I like to create wood projects for people and myself. Every piece is unique because I learn new techniques each time I create something. The thing I like about working with wood is that almost anything can be made and almost any error can be fixed. I guess this is a shout out to all to learn a new skill, take some time to develop that skill. And you will come to appreciate the time spent doing something useful rather than just watch TV or play games, etc.

I just thought I would share a few of my projects.

Rec! Great work!

As soon as my new PC is all set up, I will endeavor to upload these to the ACE Gallery.

Surprise! Time for some nostalgia! It's up at http://ace.ccgaming.com

That looks beautiful. Well done Rec!

I really like that ASHANTI - MTI one.. the on-the-top-wood is really cool.

I agree, although the flag case is superb! Love those corners!

Niiiice! I really love the wood burn effect! How long does it take you, on average, to do a piece of wood work?

It varies on the complexity and the spare time I get. but I'd say about a week or two average to make it. Then a couple days for stain and urethane. The goal is to be happy with the time spent and get good results.
