update also brings a number of bugs, ranging from annoying to game breaking, not all affecting every user:
Spoiler! :
-Heavy health exploit mentioned earlier
-pyro flames don't hit people right in front of you
-changing resolution in casual kicks you out of the game
-fps drops
-severe stutter from new "friends playing" element on main menu, fixable by going offline on steam
-crashes, engine errors, disk write errors
-countless visual and audio bugs now, especially when using -dxlevel 81 launch option. Some users can't see fire particles at all anymore.
-inability to invite friends in matchmaking
-6th player in matchmaking parties unable to join games
-some users never get put in casual matchmaking games no matter how long they wait
-old matchmaking party invites repeatedly popping up later
-some users can't accept any matchmaking invites
-some users receiving matchmaking invites from total strangers
-air strafing while explosive jumping increased slightly for all weapons, not just with new mantreads
-new fire rate for Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol doesn't match description; they gave it 15% faster than the old rate of 25% slower than stock pistol, when it should be 15% faster than stock pistol
-pistols not always accurate on first shot like they are supposed to be
-some users can't open console at all
-Flame particles reactivate after touching a surface, letting them to deal damage twice

-because of the above glitch, flamethrower does more damage if you spam click fast enough vs holding it down
-Health after taking out eviction notice or GRU can go below the cap of 100 if you take them out while below 120
-broken movement (stacking momentum changes) when more than one pyro airblasts you
-game can think you have a controller connected when you don't
-atomizer doesn't match described changes, can still quickswitch jump with it
-Dragon's Fury, righteous bison and probably other weapons have hitbox mismatch and do 0 damage at seemingly random times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWgXw1voYy4
-using the quickfix on a jet pack pyro you can't fly but you take the pyro's fall damage
-bop jumps as I posted above: hitting your head during the first part of the pack jump makes you touch the ground and reset the cooldown for the second pack jump; from here you can speedshot like with a rocket jumping soldier. A better visual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3WAYHmC_JU
-phlogistinator and gas can have overlapping charge bars, even on default HUD
-shooting with Panic Attack floods console with debug messages
-Loose Cannon double donk visuals and audio now only appear against ubercharged players. Also doesn't count double donks for the contract that involves the loose cannon
-bots suiciding on local servers/training maps
-festive skinned weapons don't work for contracts
-"engine hunk overflow" error when loading some maps
-some missing textures on new maps
-spies can backstab a sniper through the razerback
-"There was an error updating Team Fortress 2 (Damaged Content Files) tf2_textures_074.vpk"
-many contracts don't work at all
-server map timers going into negative numbers instead of changing maps
-scorch shot will sometimes do afterburn for the full 10 seconds, rather than being limited by the amount of damage dealt
-if you get overhealed by a medic and then stand next to a dispenser, your buff no longer fades over time (similar effect to being healed by a Quick-Fix after being healed by a normal medigun)
-demoman STILL cannot detonate stickybombs at the same time as switching weapons or attacking with melee (valve has known about this bug for 2 years)
-probably 100000 more we haven't found yet

Wow Loot! That's quite an extensive list! O.o I didn't realize there were so many issues! I mean I knew there was a lot but when you see it all spelled out like that... man, looks like this update was released too soon (even though we waited a year for it to come out!) :o Have you guys gotten all the unlockable weapons already?

Another update just came out a few minutes ago that fixes a few of the noted issues above.

Also that list is a tad dated, the Pistol issues were reportedly fixed day one, with the missing texture errors being fixed moments ago.

Also the Infinite Health Heavy thing is gone.

We've been getting patches nearly daily now.

I'm loving this. I'd love it even more if servers still didn't have 12 Pyros each.

Also Scream Fortress IX is here. Nothing much, but that's kinda expected with how close Jungle Inferno was to this week.

I kinda hate to necro a thread, but the most recent update to the game did two things.

1. It ended the Jungle Inferno Campaign.

2. It added a secondary pass that allows any user to go through the Jungle Inferno Contracts. No specific end date has been listed. (Said Pass is $2.50 and will not grant case drops and some of the other cosmetic additions. All Contract-bonus items are available though.)

So as to when the ConTracker will be irrelevant has yet to be discovered. Could be as early as this summer or as far off as 18 months+.

To "Necro" a thread is to bring it back up after it "died" or became inactive.

Necromancy is the practice of raising the dead, so people just called it "necroing".
