I just wanted to ask: how important is sound in your games? The poll is for a general impression of all of CC, so just post the specifics.

as far as sound goes in CS:S it's very important... i know suki and i use sound just as much as sight, we can tell what gun is being used where when its reloaded, if a grenade is thrown and bounces off the wall we can tell if its he,flash or smoke etc etc.. so... important.

It varies, sometimes I'm going full "competitive" and using my gaming headset for that reason, and half the time I'm just blasting techno as loudly as possible.

Hm, Jennings, sounds fun. I might have to try that some time.

EDIT: And Romans, I do that too. I voted the second to last option because by wallhacks I meant being able to tell the exact distance, right down to an inch :o But yeah, I do those things you listed.

I remember my old days of playing wow on my level 29 twink, Pvping.
I would stay stealthed in the base (I played defense) And i would tell when people would come just by the fact of hearing footsteps.
Sound is one of the most important things in games, it can give away so much information.
