Cloud 9 Dominating NA LCS

Post by Kurushii Drive » February 6th, 2017, 7:05 pm

With Cloud 9's strong roster this year, including the new acquisitions Ray (even though a substitute top-laner, he is still a good player) and Smoothie (who has shown himself a great leader of the team in the support position regarding his shotcalling prowess and his playmaking skills in team fights) from last year, it seems they have yet to find their worthy adversary.

But, we all know what happened last year with them after the NA LCS Summer Split. Although they were a dominant team, they suffered a disappointing loss in the playoffs against the fan-favourite, TSM.

This year, with the major roster changes occurring all around the LCS, they managed to keep a strong player rotation with Impact playing Top, Contractz Jungle (Meteos is now a sub Jungler), Jensen Mid, and Sneaky----the long-timer at C9----still in the ADC position. They currently have the best record in the NA LCS Spring Split, with 6 wins and 0 losses, and have had their most difficult matches against only CLG, whom they defeated 2-1 in Week 2.

Will their stellar performance prove to be genuine at the end of this season, or will they meet bitter ends like the previous season?

LOL their win streak has finally come to an end, during Week 5. They lost to TSM 2-1, with their midlaner Bjergsen achieving a pentakill with Orianna in an intense teamfight:

They then lost to Phoenix1 2-0, with Impact, who is one of the top 5 toplaners in the world, losing his composure and confidence from the stunning defeat by TSM.

TSM has now risen to the top spot with an 8-2 record, and Cloud 9 with the same record as well. The NA LCS's true competition has now commenced ;)
